Physicality & Breathing

Singing is a very physical activity. And with so many physical practices, it’s all about finding where to place the tension, and then simply getting in a habit of using the right muscles.

The diaphragm is a strong muscle and can support a powerful sound when used correctly. If you struggle with singing loudly, or struggle to sustain long notes, correct breathing technique can help you!

Scales & Technique

I’m a big big fan of technique! When you run your scales, triads or arpeggios your voice becomes a well oiled instrument. The vocal chords are muscles that need to be trained and taken care of. As you get in the habit of running scales you will gain speed, agility and power in your voice.
